Accelerating AI Factory Development Through Partnership Between Schneider Electric and NVIDIA

Accelerating AI Factory Development: A Strategic Partnership

In a groundbreaking announcement made in Paris on June 11, Schneider Electric unveiled its collaboration with NVIDIA to significantly accelerate the development and deployment of AI factories. This strategic partnership aims to address the growing demand for sustainable AI-ready infrastructures through joint research and development (R&D) initiatives that focus on power, cooling, control, and high-density rack systems.

Both companies are paving the way for the next generation of AI factories, not just within Europe, but globally. Schneider Electric, a leader in energy management and automation, is leveraging NVIDIA’s expertise in accelerated computing to provide innovative solutions that enhance AI infrastructure. This collaboration aligns with the European Commission's “AI Continent Action Plan” and the “InvestAI” initiative, which seeks to establish a robust AI infrastructure across Europe.

One of the key highlights of their partnership is the introduction of new NVIDIA-compatible rack solutions, designed to facilitate the rapid deployment of AI data centers. These solutions emphasize sustainability and are part of Schneider Electric’s broader commitment to creating efficient and reliable infrastructures that can support the sophisticated needs of AI workloads.

The Vision for AI Factories

The “AI Continent Action Plan” proposed by the European Commission outlines a mission to establish at least 13 AI factories across Europe, with the potential to create up to five AI giga-factories. In light of this ambition, Olivier Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric, emphasized that their partnership with NVIDIA goes beyond mere collaboration. Instead, it represents a unified effort to build the infrastructure essential for the next wave of AI factories worldwide.

Blum expressed his enthusiasm for their work together, stating, “We have achieved great success in deploying next-generation power and liquid cooling solutions specialized for AI data centers. This strategic partnership, bringing together global leaders in sustainability and accelerated computing, will allow us to further accelerate this momentum and push the boundaries of what tomorrow’s AI workloads can achieve.”

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, echoes this sentiment by asserting, “AI is the defining technology of our time and the most transformative force in reshaping our world. By collaborating with Schneider Electric, we are building the AI factories that will bring AI capabilities to every business, industry, and community.”

New Infrastructure Solutions Unveiled

Following the announcement, Schneider Electric also revealed a comprehensive package of AI-ready data center solutions, which includes the new EcoStruxure™ Pod and Rack Infrastructure. The EcoStruxure Pod Data Center is a prefabricated modular architecture designed for global scalability, enabling swift deployment of AI data centers wherever needed.

In addition to this, Schneider Electric has developed a new rack system inspired by the Open Compute Project (OCP), which is tailored to support NVIDIA’s MGX modular architecture and its GB200 NVL72 platform. This innovation marks a significant integration of Schneider Electric into the NVIDIA HGX and MGX ecosystems, fulfilling the evolving demands of next-generation AI infrastructures.

Earlier in the year, Schneider Electric and ETAP showcased the world's first digital twin for AI factory electrical and large-scale power requirements using NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint. This milestone further cements the two companies' leadership in the AI infrastructure space, illustrating their commitment to innovative solutions.

As NVIDIA’s certified CDU vendor, Schneider Electric continues to enhance its full reference design series, integrating solutions from Motivair's liquid cooling portfolio, which Schneider acquired in March 2025. Through this expanded strategic partnership, both companies are set to accelerate infrastructure initiatives and swiftly enhance product offerings and reference designs for future AI factories.

A Committed Future

Schneider Electric’s mission is to empower individuals to maximize the use of energy and resources while achieving both progress and sustainability. This commitment to a sustainable future is built on a foundation of trust, expertise, and innovation. They aim to become a reliable partner in sustainability and efficiency, providing world-class expertise in electrification, automation, and digitization.

With over 150,000 employees and a vast ecosystem of over a million partners, Schneider Electric operates in more than 100 countries, fostering close relationships with customers and stakeholders.
