Kobe Suma Sea World, operated by Granvista Hotel & Resort, is gearing up for an exciting New Year's celebration starting on January 1, 2026. To commemorate the Year of the Horse, the aquarium is introducing a special exhibit titled "Creatures of the Year of the Horse," showcasing fascinating marine life that aligns with this zodiac sign.

Discovering the Creatures of the Horse

As part of the exhibit, guests will have the opportunity to observe and learn about three unique creatures associated with the Year of the Horse:
1. Horseshoe Crab (Tri-spine Horseshoe Crab): Aptly named for its horseshoe-shaped shell, this fascinating species is known for its ancient lineage and unique anatomy, which resembles a horseshoe.
2. Short-nosed Tripodfish (Gima): This peculiar fish features a head shape that resembles a horse’s head, contributing to its connection to the Year of the Horse.
3. Pot-bellied Seahorse (Big-bellied Seahorse): With a distinctive appearance that resembles a horse, this charming creature is a favorite among visitors.

Guests will enjoy reading informative displays that explain the significance of each animal in relation to the horse zodiac, enhancing their understanding of these remarkable creatures. The exhibit runs from January 1 to January 15, 2026, at various locations within the aquarium, including the Aqua Live sections.
