Discover Health & Wellness Events for Families in Ikebukuro
This summer, Ikebukuro is buzzing with exciting opportunities for families to engage in health-focused activities! On August 8 and 14, the Toshima Ward is set to host two unique events that not only promise fun but also valuable knowledge about health and the human body.
The initiatives stem from the newly established health support center, “Watashi Maintenance Lab,” which was launched in May by the Toshima Health Center. This program aims to educate children about health through hands-on learning experiences and will be powered by partnerships with local universities and companies.
August 8: Watashi Maintenance Lab x ReBONE Infinity Festival
On August 8, the “Watashi Maintenance Lab x ReBONE Infinity Festival” will take place. In collaboration with the Keio University SFC Research Institute, there will be 13 interactive programs focusing on body and bone health. Children can take part in health assessments measuring body composition and vegetable intake, creating their very own “Body Discovery Sheet”. Alongside these activities, health professionals will conduct mini-seminars on crucial topics including nutrition, sleep, and overall well-being.
To make this experience even more engaging, there will be a trivia quiz rally on accident prevention for kids, as well as a fun hand-washing experiment involving wipe tests!
Moreover, participants can enjoy bone density measurements, radio calisthenics, and a traditional festival booth featuring super ball scooping games. It’s a fantastic opportunity for kids and parents alike to learn while having fun!
