In an effort to nurture the next generation of nursing leaders, Uniform Advantage has partnered with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) to announce the winners of the 2025 Uniform Advantage–GNSA Scholarship. This initiative aims to financially support graduate nursing students dedicated to enhancing healthcare through advanced education.
This year’s recipients exemplify exceptional dedication and passion for patient care. Mr. Hao Lu, who is pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialization in nurse anesthesia at Westminster University, has been awarded the scholarship for the Fall 2025 semester. His commitment to high-acuity care and improvement in patient outcomes stood out among a competitive pool of applicants.
On the other hand, Ms. Kelsey Kelley, enrolled in the DNP program at the University of Michigan–Flint, has been named the Spring 2025 scholarship recipient. Kelley’s initiatives in driving improvements in healthcare delivery through evidence-based practices highlight her leadership qualities and her aspiration for impactful change in the medical field.
Uniform Advantage is committed to making a meaningful contribution to the nursing community. Each recipient of the scholarship will receive a financial award of $2,500, aimed at reducing the burden of educational costs and enabling them to focus more on their studies and professional development.
The Uniform Advantage–GNSA Scholarship not only financially assists nursing students but also recognizes their academic prowess and leadership capabilities. Applicants must be active members of the Graduate Nursing Student Academy (GNSA) and enrolled in either a master’s or doctoral nursing program. The selection process includes evaluating the candidates' academic history, leadership potential, and letters of recommendation, further ensuring that the best-qualified individuals are selected for this prestigious scholarship.
"Supporting exceptional graduate nursing students like Hao and Kelsey is vital for the future of healthcare," stated Susan Masimore, CEO of Uniform Advantage. "Their dedication aligns perfectly with our mission as we strive to uplift and give back to the medical community."
In addition to financial support, the scholarship winners' essays will be published on both the AACN and Uniform Advantage websites, providing them with increased visibility and a platform to share their insights and visions for the future of nursing care.
