POLS Unveils A New Dimension in Fashion
As the leaves turn and the air grows crisp, the thrill of fashion awakens with the launch of the new
2026 Autumn/Winter collection by
POLS. This celebrated brand, a product of
Maruman Co., Ltd. based in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, is ready to captivate the fashion world with a refreshing exploration of design woven from tradition and innovation.
The theme for this season:
ANGLES. This concept serves as the foundation for a series of new pieces that highlight the distinctive qualities of
Banshu woven jacquard textiles. This upcoming collection will be showcased at the highly anticipated
TRANOÏ TOKYO exhibition on
March 18, 2026, where creatives and connoisseurs will gather to witness POLS's latest artistic endeavors. Following the exhibition, a series of order acceptance events will commence around late April, with the opportunity to purchase items through pop-up events and an online store until the end of May.
Exploring the Concept of Angles
The
2026 AW - ANGLES - collection consists of five styles, including dresses and shirts, available in 2-3 colors each. Every piece is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, incorporating advanced jacquard weaving techniques such as
fringe cutting and
high-density weaving.
Kanako Kajihara, the textile designer behind the collection, articulates the theme with a poetic reflection on angles:
"Vertical, horizontal, diagonal. Each angle creates structures and rhythms. Lines align, shift, and intersect, forming new balances with every wear."
Prices for the collection are set at ¥38,000 for shirts, ¥34,000 for skirts, and ¥36,000 for dresses, alongside an additional dress priced at ¥27,000. Such pricing reflects the quality and uniqueness that POLS aims to offer its discerning clientele.
Captivating Imagery
This collection was brought to life through a striking photo shoot held at
Pol Store Osaka, showcasing the pieces in a vibrant urban context. Art direction and photography were executed by
Soko Hoshino, with
Maiko handling hair and makeup. Model
Makoto Ide, represented by
Name Management, beautifully embodied the spirit of the collection, navigating the geometry of angles through movement and pose.
The creative direction and textile design came from
Kajihara Design Studio, while design and pattern work were led by
Yuko Miyamoto from Maruman Co., Ltd. The jacquard program was developed by
Yoshinori Ueda, with direction from
Naoyuki Yabiri and production by
Junpei Maruyama, all contributing to a cohesive vision that embodies the essence of POLS.
