Advancements at Kootenay Silver's Columba Project

Kootenay Silver Inc. has recently shared exciting developments in its ongoing exploration efforts at the Columba High-Grade Silver Project located in Chihuahua, Mexico. As part of a significant 60,000-meter drill program, the company has successfully completed 29,700 meters of drilling, revealing promising assay results from multiple drill holes. These advancements mark a substantial step in understanding the silver-rich resources available in this area.

The company's exploration is focusing on systematic drilling aimed at identifying and expanding the mineral resource zones, particularly along the D Vein. This vein has shown remarkable potential, now extending over approximately 1,320 meters of strike length and reaching depths of up to 600 meters below the surface. Remarkably, this is all falling within the maiden inferred Mineral Resource Estimate, which suggests there are 54.1 million ounces of silver contained in 5.92 million tonnes at a grade of 284 g/t silver.

Highlights from Recent Drill Results

The recent report showcases mineralized intervals from the D Vein and incidental intercepts from the Lupe/B2 Vein system. The D Vein drilling revealed high-grade intervals, such as:

• - CDH-26-253: Successfully intercepted two broad zones 4 meters apart, yielding 274 g/t silver over 6.28 meters, along with a spectacular interval of 509 g/t silver over 2.40 meters.
• - CDH-26-243: Encountered high-grade hydrothermal breccia and quartz-calcite veining with significant silver and gold values, including 178 g/t silver over 17 meters.

In addition to the D Vein highlights, Kootenay's drilling program has uncovered blind veins that present new exploration targets. Senior Geological Engineer, Roberto Jordan Balbastro, noted that systematic drilling has identified additional structures that are not visible from the surface but represent excellent opportunities for further exploration. Notably, hole CDH-26-248 revealed a 1.0-meter interval grading an impressive 703 g/t silver along with lead and zinc values, hinting at the prospect of additional mineralized zones.

Continued Exploration and Future Plans

Kootenay's exploration efforts don't stop here. The company expects to shift its focus towards the expansion drilling of other priority veins, including the Lupe/B2, J, and La Preciosa veins. With further results from the ongoing drill program anticipated soon, stakeholders can look forward to updates on these high-potential veins, particularly the Lupe/B2 system, which converges with the D vein.

The depth of drilling conducted in the current campaign, notably through holes CDH-26-244, 246, and 247, shows that the D vein remains strong and open to deeper levels. Future exploration will continue to assess these deep targets while also expanding Kootenay's existing mineral resource base.

Background on the Columba Project

The Columba project is a noteworthy high-grade epithermal vein system within Mexico's Sierra Madre region, known for its potential to host significant silver and gold resources. The management believes this project represents a newly recognized vein district, comparable with other successful mining areas in Mexico. The mineralization in Columba occurs over a vertical extent of at least 600 meters, and Kootenay aims to achieve a deeper understanding of its potential, given that many veins remain open at depth.
