The innovative hub known as 100BANCH, designed as an experimental space to enrich the world for the next century, has welcomed three exciting projects as part of the 97th cohort of its GARAGE Program. This initiative aims to foster new value creation in collaboration with the younger generations who will shape the future. Set to take up residence in August 2025, these projects not only embody innovation but also address pressing societal needs and challenges.
skinU: Empowering Confidence Among Teenage Boys
One of the highlights of this cohort is the skinU project, which aims to foster a society where everyone feels confident in their skin. Focused on teenage boys struggling with skin issues, this skin diagnostic app is designed to provide an accessible, swift, and precise assessment of individual skin conditions. By prioritizing effective skincare solutions over brand promotion, it offers a lineup of affordable cleansers, toners, and moisturizers tailored to the specific needs of its users. This innovative web service aims to make dermatological advice and suitable products readily available to a demographic that is often overlooked yet highly significant in the beauty market. ERGONOMI: Redefining Everyday Products
In a move towards rethinking conventional wisdom about everyday items, the ERGONOMI project questions the assumed inconveniences hidden in routine products. Moving away from the constraints of historical design and technological limitations, this initiative seeks to deconstruct established products and redefine their forms from scratch, fostering a more intuitive relationship between people and the objects they use. With the belief that we currently live in a time where people adapt to objects instead of vice versa, ERGONOMI aspires to create a paradigm shift towards objects that adapt to human needs. utsuRe: A Camera for Trust and Connection
The third remarkable project, utsuRe, is centered around a unique design concept for a camera that does not belong to anyone, serving as a means to foster human connections and explore the nature of trust. This autonomous camera, known as the 'Utsure Camera,' is envisioned as a device that travels from person to person, documenting human experiences and the trust that develops through shared interactions. This innovative approach not only tests the boundaries of traditional communication but also experiments with the depth and complexity of social connections facilitated by technology. About GARAGE Program
The GARAGE Program is designed as a platform for young leaders under 35, providing them with space and mentorship to drive social experiments and innovative projects. Each selected project undergoes a three-month acceleration phase during which they leverage resources to propel their ideas into the future. Notably, 100BANCH continually accepts entries for new projects, with the next application deadline scheduled for August 25. This serves as an open invitation for aspiring innovators to join this dynamic ecosystem.
