Introducing the First TOY GAME CUP!

The TOY GAME CUP executive committee is thrilled to announce the inaugural TOY GAME CUP, a unique competition featuring various toy games. This event will take place on January 12, 2026, at the special venue in Ikebukuro Sunshine City. Nine major toy manufacturers, including EPOCH, BANDAI, and Takara Tomy, are collaborating to encourage the love of traditional gameplay among participants of all ages.

Starting from October 15, 2025, the event will accept team registrations through its dedicated website TOY GAME CUP. The tournament aims to promote interaction and playful competition through beloved games such as “UNO,” “Blackbeard’s Surprise,” and more.

What is the TOY GAME CUP?

The tournament is designed for three-member teams, open to participants aged 6 and up. With a selection of 15 teams to compete, participants will engage in varied toy games showcasing skill and luck. The winners will receive a sparkling trophy and exciting prizes! This competition is an opportunity for people to connect in person, celebrating a resurgence in the value of analog experiences in our digitally dominated world.

As of 2023, the domestic tabletop game market reached 7.54 billion yen, and projections indicate it will grow to 7.8 billion yen in 2024. The TOY GAME CUP aligns with these trends, fostering genuine face-to-face engagement.

Competition Format

The event will feature popular toy games representing their respective manufacturers. Teams will compete head-to-head, giving every contestant, regardless of age or background, a fair shot at winning this exciting championship.

How to Apply

Interested teams can apply via the special form available on the event’s website. Applications will be accepted from October 15 to November 16, 2025. Due to the anticipated high demand, participant selection may involve a lottery. Those selected will be notified via email by the end of November.

Eligibility Requirements

• - Age: Participants must be 6 years or older.
• - Team Size: Each team must consist of three members.
• - Adult Supervision: Teams composed solely of minors must have an accompanying adult (18 years or older).
• - Residency: Applicants should reside in Japan.
