Bristow Group's COO Alan Corbett Plans Retirement After Distinguished Tenure

Bristow Group Announces Chief Operating Officer's Retirement

On April 20, 2026, the Bristow Group Inc. (NYSE: VTOL) revealed that Alan Corbett, their Chief Operating Officer for Government Services, intends to retire by the end of the year. This marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in both Corbett's and the company’s history. He joined Bristow in 2014 and has been a driving force behind the expansion and success of its Government Services operations.

As stated by Chris Bradshaw, Bristow’s President and CEO, Corbett's leadership has been pivotal in solidifying and enhancing the Government Services branch of the company. Under his management, Bristow secured key long-term contracts with various government agencies, establishing itself as a trusted partner. Corbett’s achievements have been recognized for the remarkable impact they have had on the company’s performance during his tenure.

Corbett has held multiple senior leadership roles, gaining extensive experience across numerous international operations of Bristow. Initially, he served as Region Director for both the Europe Business Unit and the Caspian Region before becoming Vice President for Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Search and Rescue. In February 2023, he ascended to the role of Chief Operating Officer of Government Services. His influence on the division is highlighted by the arrival of major contracts such as the UK Search and Rescue Second-Generation program and agreements with the Irish Coast Guard and the Netherlands Coast Guard.

Upon announcing his retirement, Corbett committed to remaining in his role through the transition period. He will assist in finding a suitable successor and ensuring a structured handover of responsibilities. This approach reflects Bristow’s dedication to maintaining stability and continuity during this leadership change.

Bristow Group, recognized as a leader in innovative and sustainable vertical flight solutions, aims to continue its trajectory of growth and service excellence even in Corbett’s absence. The company has already commenced a comprehensive search for a new leader in consultation with an experienced international executive search firm. This step demonstrates Bristow’s preparedness to uphold the quality of its services while transitioning to new leadership.

Bristow Group is a globally respected provider of aviation services primarily directed towards offshore energy firms as well as government entities. Its services range from personnel transportation to search and rescue operations, medical evacuations, and more. The company has built a diverse portfolio that allows it to serve a wide range of clients across multiple regions, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

As Corbett prepares to embark on a new phase of life, his contributions linger within Bristow’s influential business structure. The leadership transition will not only reflect his accomplishments but will also set the foundation for future growth and innovation within the Government Services division.
