In an exciting development for the 3DCG production industry, Studio Bross, headquartered in Minato City, Tokyo, has announced the launch of its corporate 3DCG data conversion service aimed at streamlining data conversion processes. The service is set to officially kick off today, September 25, 2025.

As the metaverse market continues to grow in Japan, projected to expand from ¥275 billion in 2024 to a staggering ¥1.87 trillion by 2028, the demand for rich metaverse content created using game engines such as Unreal Engine is rising. However, there is a notable shortage of real-time assets available within the domestic market.

One of the key challenges in converting existing 3DCG assets into real-time assets lies in the labor-intensive data conversion and the need for skilled personnel proficient in optimization. Additionally, there are few providers in Japan specializing in real-time asset production, creating a significant gap in the market.

To address these issues, Studio Bross has been developing its 3DCG data conversion service since November 2024. This service allows 3DCG assets to be transformed quickly and efficiently into real-time assets while improving the quality of conversion and the delivery workflow.

Starting today, businesses can now conveniently manage asset requests, quotes, previews, and data retrieval online through a streamlined service. To celebrate the launch, a limited-time campaign will offer free use of the service for first-time customers who meet specific criteria.

Service Workflow


The conversion process allows the 3DCG assets provided by clients to be transformed into real-time assets that are ready to be deployed using Unreal Engine. With this new service, businesses can convert 3DCG assets created in Autodesk Maya into real-time assets compatible with Unreal Engine, which can also be distributed via Epic Games' Fab marketplace. This enhancement enables easier and more efficient use of 3DCG content across various sectors, including:

  • - Background asset production for virtual productions
  • - TV programming and content for VR, MR, and metaverse experiences
  • - 3D product configurators in manufacturing
  • - E-commerce for apparel, toys, and more

Accepted Data:


  • - Autodesk Maya (2020-2023) scene files
  • - 3DCG data created with Autodesk Arnold (6.0.3-7.1)
Only up to 10 files can be registered and converted per order. If exceeding 10, please split your order.
Upload limit is 2GB per file.

Converted Data:


  • - 3DCG data without animations, delivered as Unreal Engine 5 project files.

Basic Usage Fee:


  • - Starts from ¥2,000 per asset, subject to variations based on request specifics.

Registration:


  • - Interested users can register via the dedicated web form for the 3DCG conversion service. A registration review will be conducted, and notifications will be sent within typically two business days after approval. Prior agreement to the service terms and conditions is required for usage.

Limited-Time Promotional Campaign:


To celebrate the launch, the service is currently available for free to first-time corporate users who meet certain conditions. The campaign is valid for requests received until November 30, 2025, and can end without prior notice. The offer applies only to single asset conversions.
