CRE and Konoike Joint Venture: Urban Development in Hirakata City

CRE (C.R.E) has officially been appointed as the management contractor for the planned urban development project in Hirakata City, Osaka, in collaboration with Konoike Corporation. This project, referred to as the Nakao Arakasa District Urban Area Development, is anticipated to significantly enhance logistics and commercial activities in the region, which is poised for substantial growth.

Project Overview

The project is set to encompass approximately 40.7 hectares in the central eastern area of Hirakata City. Situated conveniently near the JR Gakken Toshi Line's Nagao Station and the Yawata-Kyotanabe Interchange of the Daini-Kyoto Expressway, this area offers excellent transportation accessibility, which is expected to be maximized with the full opening of the new expressway.

The objective of this urban development is to establish a new commercial and industrial hub that meets the needs of the community while promoting sustainable urban planning. Utilizing urban planning techniques, the project aims to prevent chaotic development and instead foster a healthy living environment equipped with advanced logistics and commercial facilities. It also plans to develop supporting infrastructure such as roads, parks, green spaces, and retention basins, creating an integrated sustainable urban foundation.

Collaborative Efforts

As the management contractor, CRE will work closely with the Hirakata City Nakao Arakasa District Urban Preparation Association, local landowners, and various stakeholders. The preparation association, which will eventually evolve into an urban planning organization, was established on July 11, 2026. CRE's role will involve supporting the formation of this organization, ensuring successful project execution, and ongoing contributions to urban development around Nagao Station.

In its commitment to further enhance local infrastructure, CRE also has strategic plans to participate in large-scale development projects, focusing on the creation of quality development sites. This aligns with their long-term vision of nurturing sustainable regional communities.
