Doosan Robotics Expands in Europe
In a significant step towards bolstering its presence in Europe, Doosan Robotics recently inaugurated its expanded branch located in Frankfurt, Germany. This strategic move is part of the company’s broader initiative to drive business growth throughout the region and improve service capabilities. The grand opening ceremony, held on May 19, 2026, welcomed a diverse group of around 200 attendees, comprising key European partners, existing and potential customers, representatives from robotics associations, and local media personnel.
The establishment of the new facility marks a crucial phase in Doosan Robotics’ European growth strategy, initially launched in 2024 when the company first set up its European operations. Since then, it has formed partnerships with system integrators and distributors in major European markets such as Germany, France, and the Netherlands. The expanded Frankfurt branch will enhance local service and training infrastructures, while also providing new functionalities for showcasing robotics solutions and developing applications.
One of the highlights of this expansion is the increase in local repair and service capabilities, enabling quicker response times for customer inquiries. Doosan Robotics is set to maintain a local inventory of spare parts and repair equipment, allowing for faster resolutions to issues encountered on-site. Furthermore, the company introduces the option of deploying replacement robots immediately to mitigate downtime during maintenance or repairs, ensuring minimal disruption for clients.
In addition to these measures, training programs will be localized and enhanced to meet the direct needs of customers and system integrators. The branch plans to conduct courses at least twice a month for beginners, intermediates, and professionals. A new “Live-Repair” training program is also anticipated, where participants will have the hands-on opportunity to disassemble and repair actual products, thus sharpening their technical skills and fostering stronger long-term relationships with clients.
During the opening ceremony, Doosan Robotics Europe also showcased various commercialized robotic solutions designed to aid different industries. These include palletizing systems that organize and stack items, machine loading and unloading solutions, AI-powered pick-and-place systems, and even robotic cocktail preparation solutions. Additionally, the establishment operates a showroom that allows potential customers to experience these advanced robotic solutions firsthand, reinforcing the company's sales capabilities in the competitive European market.
To further facilitate innovation and customization, an application center will be implemented where clients can collaborate directly with engineers from the European branch, tailoring robotic solutions to their specific needs.
Inwon Park, President of Doosan Robotics, expressed optimism about the expansion: “The enhanced branch in Frankfurt provides us with a stronger platform to serve customers and partners across Europe with greater speed, proximity, and technical support. Beyond just delivering products, we aim to bolster confidence in our brand and competitiveness in the European market by developing a locally integrated service and training infrastructure.”
