Discover the Joy of Photography with Nikon College
Nikon Imaging Japan, a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, has recently announced its upcoming photography classes under the program "Nikon College" for the period from January to March 2026. From those who find it challenging to capture their desired images to aspiring creators yearning to produce stunning photographs, Nikon College aims to address a wide array of goals and concerns regarding photography through its specially designed courses.
Nikon College organizes classes quarterly across seven cities nationwide. The range of offerings allows participants to choose the best fit for their interests and skills. For those wanting a brief introduction, the "One-Day Experience Class" is available, designed to impart skills in a relaxed, three-hour format. Other options include comprehensive courses such as the "Basic Class," "Practical Class," "Photo Expression Class," and "Creative Work Class," combining lectures, practical shooting, and critique sessions for thorough learning. Additionally, an "Online Class" is provided for those who wish to revisit course content at their convenience.
Participants can also take advantage of numerous hands-on workshops with equipment rentals. This opportunity is particularly valuable for individuals considering purchasing a camera before making a decision.
During the January to March term, the "One-Day Experience Class" features expanded outreach through "Visiting Lectures," where instructors will visit areas outside their usual regions to increase access to the joy of photography. Furthermore, the "Basic Class" has been enhanced to offer flexible options: attendees can select either a quick two-day session or an in-depth four-day course to build a robust foundation in photographic techniques.

Experience Photography in a Fun Way with the One-Day Class!
The "One-Day Experience Class" is a workshop limited to eight participants, promoting personal interactions with the instructor. This format has received positive feedback for its enjoyable learning environment. To reach more students, popular instructors will now travel to different locations to teach, including Sakura from the Tokyo school visiting Sapporo and Fukuoka, as well as Fuka and Yuri from the Osaka school teaching in Nagoya. This initiative enriches the learning experience by introducing students to fresh perspectives and the chance to engage with diverse genres of photography. Don’t miss this opportunity to register!
Expand Your Expression by Understanding Photography Basics!
If you’ve heard terms like “aperture,” “shutter speed,” “exposure,” “ISO sensitivity,” and “focusing” but feel uncertain about their application, the "Basic Class" will demystify these concepts. With two-day and four-day course options tailored to different lifestyles, the new two-day course consists of lectures and hands-on shooting on the first day, followed by critique sessions on the second day, either in-person or online. This is a perfect opportunity to grasp the fundamentals of photography and enjoy the process of capturing your envisioned images!
