Huawei Launches HiSecEngine USG6000G Firewalls at MWC 2026
At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, Huawei has unveiled its flagship product line – the HiSecEngine USG6000G series of firewalls. These sophisticated devices are tailored to safeguard businesses as they transition towards complete digital intelligence. The series includes three fixed-configuration models along with four desktop firewalls, marking a significant advancement in Huawei's network security portfolio following the previous E and F series firewalls.
The new USG6000G firewalls are built upon Huawei's specialized security modules, ensuring extraordinary performance and threat detection capabilities. Notably, the USG6885G model stands out with a threat protection capability of 135 Gb/s, the highest for 2U fixed-configuration firewalls. This high-performance unit effectively doubles the output and offers 1.5 times the SSL decryption capacity compared to similar alternatives in the market. This capability allows businesses to maintain the efficiency of critical services, even when all security features are operational, thus accommodating the demands of substantial data traffic.
In scenarios involving multiple branch locations, Huawei's USG6500G desktop firewalls integrate firewall, router, and switch functions, also providing support for 5G and Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions. This multifunctionality greatly enhances organizational connectivity and operational efficiency.
Moreover, the HiSecEngine USG6000G series features intelligent security computing power, enabling advanced inline security algorithms and real-time local model inference. This provides significant enhancements in identifying unknown threats, with a remarkable 95% detection rate, enhancing security management far beyond the industry average by 15%.
Adriano da Rocha Lima, Secretary-General of the Government of Goiás State in Brazil, emphasized that the integration of Huawei's network security solutions facilitates effective and secure connectivity, boosting educational development and digital services across the region. As a result, local government agencies are better equipped to serve their communities and improve residents' quality of life.
The HiSecEngine USG6000G firewalls are well-suited for deployment in enterprise branches, campuses, and data centers, ensuring secure connectivity between central offices and satellite locations as well as local internet access. This allows businesses to maintain a high-level comprehensive security posture that aligns with their strategic objectives.
Overall, Huawei's HiSecEngine USG6000G series firewalls represent a critical innovation in the cybersecurity landscape. By addressing the connection and protection needs of modern enterprises, these firewalls will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in enhancing business continuity and safeguarding sensitive data.
