Experience Nature's Splendor at Amamu
This July, the Wellness Resort Amamu, located in Takahagi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, will be hosting a special event called the "Hydrangea Square." On July 14th and 15th, this stunning venue will open its gates to the public, allowing visitors to admire approximately 3,600 hydrangeas in peak bloom.
Nestled in the scenic highlands at an altitude of 500 meters, Amamu is renowned for its tranquil atmosphere. Normally, the beauty of the hydrangeas can only be enjoyed by guests staying at the resort. However, in an effort to share the exquisite beauty of these flowers with a broader audience, the resort has decided to make this enchanting area accessible to all.
The Allure of Hydrangea Square
Visitors to Hydrangea Square will encounter a breathtaking array of over 30 different varieties, including "Annabelle," "Gaku Ajisai," "Dance Party," "Sakura no Hoshi," "Popcorn," and "Himiko." Each hydrangea variety exhibits unique colors and shapes, creating a vibrant tapestry of floral diversity. Guests can leisurely stroll through the square, enjoying the cool mountain air while listening to the melodious sounds of birds and rustling leaves, all enhanced by the captivating beauty of the hydrangeas.
