Aerotek Returns as a Premier Sponsor for SkillsUSA's National Leadership & Skills Conference 2026
Aerotek is excited to announce its continued support of SkillsUSA as the presenting sponsor of the National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC) for a remarkable third consecutive year. Scheduled to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, from June 1 to June 5, 2026, this premier event is anticipated to attract over 19,000 attendees, including students from middle and high schools, as well as college and postsecondary institutions, alongside teachers, school administrators, and business partners.
The NLSC celebrates the accomplishments of exceptional career and technical education (CTE) students across the United States. It highlights the crucial role of career-ready skills in overcoming contemporary workforce challenges. Aerotek, a prominent provider of workplace solutions across manufacturing, logistics, construction, aviation, facilities, and maintenance, will play a vital role in these celebrations.
Earl Henthorn and Eliza Hetrick, Aerotek's market research analysts, will contribute their expertise in workforce development during various panel discussions at the conference. Henthorn is slated to participate in the Employer Insights Panel, where he will discuss trends and insights with high school and postsecondary students focusing on building trades and renovation programs, including areas like carpentry, electrical, HVAC-R, and plumbing.
Additionally, Hetrick will join a panel at SkillsUSA's Workforce Development Summit, an event that convenes industry leaders, educators, and policymakers to discuss pressing workforce challenges and propose solutions that enhance CTE and establish more pathways for in-demand careers.
David Jordan, the director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, along with Corporate Social Responsibility at Aerotek, expressed his pride in supporting SkillsUSA. He stated, "Aerotek is honored to support SkillsUSA and the students pursuing career and technical education across the country. These students represent the future of our workforce, and we're proud to participate in this impactful event each year."
At this year's conference, Aerotek will also recognize the achievements of student medalists across 19 SkillsUSA Championship competitions. These competitions span various career pathways including Architecture and Construction, Hospitality and Tourism, Manufacturing, and Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics. This commitment underscores Aerotek's ongoing dedication to workforce development and highlights the significant role that SkillsUSA plays in preparing the next generation of skilled professionals.
Aerotek’s partnership with SkillsUSA, which began in 2021, has flourished with initiatives like the "Make Your Mark" scholarship program launched in 2023. Through this program, Aerotek and SkillsUSA offer financial assistance to individuals committed to continuing their skills education, with over 500 scholarships awarded to date.
SkillsUSA executive director Chelle Travis emphasized the importance of the NLSC, declaring it a crucial event for anyone involved in workforce development and career and technical education. "SkillsUSA students do not just learn skills; they apply them, compete with them, and prove they can deliver under pressure. It's rare to find a convergence like this, where students, educators, and hundreds of companies all agree on something important. SkillsUSA is that rare convergence."
