Digital Frontier Grand Prix 2026: Celebrating Creativity

The DIGITAL FRONTIER GRAND PRIX 2026, organized by Digital Hollywood Corporation, is set to spotlight the pinnacle of digital artistry on April 7, 2026, at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, Japan. This prestigious event, which takes place from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, blends the traditional entrance ceremony for new students with the renowned Creative Award for outstanding works from the previous year. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness and appreciate over 2,000 exemplary graduate projects across various digital disciplines.

Event Details

The DIGITAL FRONTIER GRAND PRIX, commonly referred to as DF, marks a significant milestone for incoming students at Digital Hollywood’s diverse educational platforms, including colleges, online schools, and studios. This year's event promises an enriching experience for the new cohort as they are presented with an array of innovative creations by their predecessors.

Venue: LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, 1-1 Udagawacho, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan
RSVP: Attendance is reservation-based, welcoming both students and general public participants.

A Grand Tradition

Since its inception, DF has served as a vital venue for aspiring creators. The Creative Award recognizes excellence across numerous fields, including 3D animation, graphic design, interactive content, XR (extended reality), and gaming. A panel of distinguished alumni, now successful creators in their respective industries, will evaluate submissions and select the top honors for 2025.

This dual-celebratory nature of the event allows new students not only to start their academic journey but also gain insight into the ultimate potential of their education from the exceptional works displayed by their seniors.

The 2025 Outstanding Works and Judging Panel

The Creative Award has become a springboard for creators who aim for global recognition. Many previous winners have gained noteworthy acclaim both locally and internationally. For instance, filmmaker Kei Kamino's fully 3D animated work ORIGAMI won a Silver Award at the prestigious Student Academy Awards, a first for Japan. Other works, like Nana Endo's Light Art Development and Expression, have been showcased in major international exhibitions in New York and Dubai. This momentum has enabled numerous talents to venture into the world stage.

This year’s judging panel consists of notable industry leaders from various sectors:
  • - Chief Judge: Naoki Kitazawa (Furikake Products Inc.)
  • - Film Division Judges: Kentaro Komiya (Walt Disney Animation Studios), Sakura Koyama (Klenaru Inc.), and Norihiko Miyoshi (STUDIOHIKE Inc.).
  • - Graphic Division Judges: Naoki Kitazawa and Tanana Yagi (Gree, Inc.)
  • - Interactive Division Judges: Keisuke Ito (XR Artist) and Erika Sudo (Dentsu Inc.)
  • - Gaming Division Judges: Takuya Okouchi (NPO Card Game Culture Promotion Association) and Hayaki Fujita (baton, Inc.)
  • - Service Division Judges: Karen Hashimoto (Camp Joshi Inc.) and Hitoshi Kozuka (ADK Marketing Solutions)
  • - Research Division Judges: Yoshiko Goda (Kumamoto University) and Ayuko Takagi (Shohoku Junior College)
  • - Art Division Judges: Masato Inagaki (Daisy, Inc.) and Mari Konishi (Media Artist).
