John Morikis, at the age of 61, rose through the ranks at Sherwin-Williams after beginning his career there in 1984 as a management trainee. His dedication and expertise allowed him to ascend to notable positions, culminating in his election as president and CEO in 2016 and subsequently assuming the role of board chairman in 2017. Morikis has played a fundamental role in steering Sherwin-Williams towards significant growth and innovation during his tenure.
It is worth noting that while joining Whirlpool’s board, Morikis will retain his position as a director at Sherwin-Williams until his term ends in April.
