Experience the Izu Winter Camp: Giant Jungle Gym and Illuminations
The much-anticipated
Izu Winter Camp is set to take place on
January 17-18, 2026, organized by
Plus One Education, a subsidiary of
Riso Educational Group. This two-day adventure offers an exhilarating and memorable experience for children aged 6 to 12, featuring one of Japan’s largest
giant jungle gyms, breathtaking
illuminations, and engaging activities that immerse participants in the natural beauty of Izu.
Exciting Highlights of the Camp
Challenge Yourself at Japan’s Largest Jungle Gym
At the
Cycle Sports Center of Izu, campers will tackle the
“FUJISAN”, an immense stainless-steel jungle gym recognized as one of Japan's largest. This thrilling structure features adventurous paths resembling caves, exciting slides, and plenty of surprises to keep kids engaged. With safety in mind, the floors are padded with cushion mats, allowing children to explore and play without fear. On clear days, they can even catch a glimpse of the majestic Mount Fuji from the top.
Immerse Yourself in the Grand Illumination Experience
As night falls, campers will be enchanted by the
“Gran Illumination” at
Izu Granpal Park. This innovative exhibit is Japan's first interactive illumination experience, where children can walk on lights in the
“Walk on the Illumination” and glide down the
“Night Rainbow”, a 110-meter slide. This magical display transforms the night into a dream-like atmosphere, creating unforgettable memories wrapped in radiant colors and shapes.
Discover the Natural Wonders of Izu
The final day of the camp includes a visit to the
Oomuroyama, a designated natural monument. Campers will relish the stunning landscapes and rich biodiversity this area offers, balancing fun activities with a deep appreciation of nature. This program perfectly integrates adventure, education, and the beauty of the East Izu region, ensuring participants walk away with an enriched experience.
