Celebrating Three Wonderful Years with Mokoron

Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, led by President Shigeru Suzuki) proudly announces the third anniversary of its childcare support mascot, Mokoron. This celebration, set for August 23, 2026, will be marked with various events and merchandise available starting from July 12, 2026. The company aims to enhance family time along the railway lines while expanding a supportive network for parents watching their children grow.

A Day of Fun in Ebina

On the actual anniversary date, multiple events will take place in the Ebina area. At the Romance Museum, visitors can take photos with Mokoron against a backdrop of historically significant Romance Cars. Additionally, fans can participate in a photo shoot featuring the Mokoron-themed train and a wrapped bus at the Ebina train depot.

Shinjuku and Machida Odakyu department stores will also join in the festivities, introducing exclusive merchandise such as soaps, towels, and sweets. Workshops for making decorated icing cookies and keychains will also be available.

An Inclusive Approach to Growth

In recognition of Mokoron’s impact on child-rearing, a special adults-only event will take place on July 26, 2026, at the Odakyu Hotel Century Southern Tower in Shinjuku. Participants in this event will enjoy individual photo sessions with Mokoron, a buffet meal, and a chance to win exclusive tote bags.

For the anniversary, Mokoron-themed decorations will adorn the Mokoron train. Furthermore, special headmarks will be displayed on the Romance Car model MSE (60000 series), along with various commemorative goods, including Mokoron-themed Plarail models.

Care for Young Ones

Odakyu Railway remains committed to its Childcare Support Policy, implementing initiatives such as a flat fare of 50 yen for children across all stations and introducing “Childcare Support Trains.” With the partnership of various local businesses and communities, Odakyu aims to create a railway corridor that supports families.

- Visitors can look forward to commemorative merchandise, greeting sessions with Mokoron, and cookie decoration workshops available at the Machida store.

2. Pre-sale of Plarail Mokoron Train
- Sale Date: July 12, 2026, at the Odakyu Good Shop located in the Romance Museum.
- Price: 3,500 yen (plus admission fee).
- Exciting events tied to the sale include photo opps with Mokoron and a special Mokoron train experience.

3. Expand the Circle of Support
- Celebrate Mokoron’s third anniversary at the Special Party:
Date: July 26, 2026, at the Odakyu Hotel Century Southern Tower.
- The event will feature a raffle for Mokoron merchandise, live music by pianist Gen Okuda, and opportunities for personal photos with Mokoron.
- Buffet-style dining will also be provided, with a fee of 18,800 yen per person.

4. Train Decoration Updates
- A special interior decoration scheme for Mokoron train will run starting from July 1, 2026.
- A special headmark will be displayed on select Romance Car trains starting June 30.

5. Collectible Merchandise
Items such as Mokoron plush toys and special edition merchandise will be available at the Odakyu Goods Shop TRAINS and at the Odakyu department stores during the anniversary events.
