Huasun's Kunlun Series HJT Modules Achieve Near 100% Bifaciality for Vertical PV Applications

Huasun Energy proudly showcases its cutting-edge Kunlun Series HJT solar modules, which are setting new standards in the generation of solar energy. With an impressive bifaciality rate approaching 100%, these state-of-the-art modules are designed to excel in vertical photovoltaic (PV) applications. This innovation represents a significant stride towards addressing land use constraints while maximizing energy efficiency and economic viability.

Xiaohua (Jimmy) Xu, CEO of Huasun Energy, pointed out the pressing demand for high-efficiency solutions in challenging environments. He stated, ‘Traditional PV systems are increasingly facing land constraints and fluctuations in electricity prices. The Kunlun Series introduces a revolutionary methodology by optimizing returns through electricity generation during peak hours in vertical installations, thereby enhancing energy security and economic returns.’

In the AgriPV sector, Huasun collaborates with the German firm Next2Sun on various vertical PV projects, one of which includes a prominent installation of 5.2 MW in Merzig-Wellingen. A project manager from Next2Sun noted, “Huasun's HJT modules demonstrate superior performance by mitigating the effects of snow and dust while harnessing solar light reflected off surfaces. This has allowed us to exceed our energy production expectations by 12%.”

Designed with symmetrical bifaciality, these modules enhance solar absorption and improve vertical photovoltaic efficiency while minimizing light pollution, noise, and land disturbances, facilitating seamless and low-impact integration.

A simulation conducted for an Agri-PV project boasting 96.8 MW AC in Blankenfelde, Germany, demonstrated that the 720W HJT modules from Huasun, achieving an efficiency of 23.2%, outperformed conventional TOPCon panels. This resulted in an additional 7.91% increase in operational hours, reduction of land usage by 10 hectares, and a lowering of the Balance of System (BOS) costs by 1.92%. Such advances contributed to an 8.72% decrease in the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) and a 3.76% increase in the Internal Rate of Return (IRR), further solidifying the advantages of the Kunlun Series within the realm of vertical solar applications.

Moreover, Huasun's Kunlun Series HJT solar modules are specifically engineered to excel across diverse environments with limited space, including transportation systems, buildings, and offshore sites. With ultra-low degradation rates (≤1% in the first year, ≤0.3% annually thereafter) and an optimized temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C, they promise long-term operational efficiency. The advanced encapsulation technology utilized (EVA, light conversion films, butyl adhesive, and glass design) not only enhances durability but also ensures stable energy production, reducing operating and maintenance costs, thus making them a reliable choice for vertical PV applications.

As a leader in research and development, Anhui Huasun Energy Co., Ltd specializes in large-scale production of high-efficiency, n-type HJT silicon ingots, wafers, cells, and modules.
