Investment and Collaboration Details

The collaboration's financials reflect its ambitious scope: an initial payment of $56 million to AbCellera, with the potential for up to $792 million in option fees and milestone payments spread across the therapeutic programs Jazz may decide to develop. Notably, Jazz Pharmaceuticals now holds the exclusive rights to commercialize the prospective therapeutic antibodies emerging from this partnership.

The Power of T-cell Engaging Antibodies

AbCellera stands to gain an incremental $28 million contingent upon the initiation of the third research program. Moreover, successful navigation through development phases may yield AbCellera milestone payments tied to regulatory approvals and commercial success, alongside tiered royalties on net sales ranging from mid-single digits to low double-digits.
