Inland Empire Health Plan Appoints Patrick Brosnan as CFO



In a significant leadership move, Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) has recently announced the appointment of Patrick Brosnan as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective April 20. Brosnan is set to lead the overall financial strategy of the health plan, reinforcing fiscal management and aligning with the organization’s business objectives. His role encompasses the oversight of various internal departments within IEHP, including Actuarial Services, Claims, and Procurement.

The announcement was made by Jarrod McNaughton, CEO of IEHP, who expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Brosnan to the team. "His leadership brings strategic insight that will shape the future of our health plan, ensuring we continue to innovate, expand our impact, and advance our mission with purpose," stated McNaughton.

Patrick Brosnan arrives at IEHP with over three decades of experience in the healthcare sector. He has held essential leadership roles in national health plans including Molina Healthcare, Aetna, and Health Net. Prior to his new position, Brosnan served as Vice President of Medicaid Plans at AmeriHealth Caritas in Pennsylvania, a managed care organization that provides insurance for two million members. During his tenure there, he played a pivotal role in enhancing the organization’s profitability, developing effective medical management strategies, and implementing sustainable process and system solutions.

Brosnan shared his excitement about joining an organization that plays a crucial part in the community, stating, "It is part of the heart and soul of IEHP to provide healthcare to those who need it most, and I want to dedicate the rest of my life to serving vulnerable populations."

An alumnus of St. John’s University in Queens, New York, Brosnan holds a degree in Accounting. He is an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Global Management Accountant (CMA), and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
