The seeds for this revitalization were first planted in 2024, with the launch of an Entrepreneurship Recruitment Programme that successfully introduced seven enterprises to Rua das Estalagens. The latest chapter in this effort was marked by an award ceremony at The Londoner Macao, where representatives from the Macao SAR government joined Dr. Wilfred Wong, the executive vice chairman of Sands China, to honor the selected enterprises. A Diverse Array of Entrepreneurs

Among the 24 enterprises selected for the 2026 programme, the diversity of concepts showcases the region's rich potential. The Entrepreneurship Recruitment Programme 2.0 has attracted innovative businesses like Ho's Coffee, a trendy café that promises an immersive experience combining specialty coffee with holistic wellness. Other exciting entries include VAYNE, a California-style fast-casual eatery, and MONO STUDIO, a travel photography studio providing visitors with the opportunity to capture their adventures in real-time.

On the other hand, the Shop Rebranding Programme offers established shops the chance to revamp their brand identity and operational capabilities. One notable participant, Ngan Kong Hap Kei Cong Si, is a traditional fabric shop that has been serving the community since the early 1950s. With these programs in place, Sands China is not only nurturing new businesses but also revitalizing long-standing operations, threading together the fabric of old and new.
