Lufax Announces New Co-CEO and CMO

Xiang Ji


Mr. Xiang Ji, aged 43, brings nearly two decades of diverse experience spanning retail credit, risk management, and investment management. Before joining Lufax, Ji honed his skills at McKinsey & Company, where he served as the Global Managing Partner overseeing the Asia Retail Banking Business from February 2014 until September 2025. His impressive academic background includes a Master's degree in Business Management from INSEAD, a Master's in Telecommunication Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, and a Bachelor's in Communication Engineering from Beijing Information Science and Technology University.

Tao Wu


Mr. Tao Wu, who is 52 years old, has over 30 years of veteran experience across the financial insurance, automobile services, and internet sectors. Prior to his new role at Lufax, Wu held the position of Executive Director and CEO at Autohome from December 2023 to February 2025. His extensive tenure at Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company saw him ascend to numerous executive roles, including those of Director of Operations and General Manager of various branches. Wu completed his Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1995.
