VivaTech 2026 Marks 10 Years of Innovation with Record Visitor Milestone

A Decade of Innovation at VivaTech 2026

From June 17 to June 20, 2026, the vibrant city of Paris hosted the highly anticipated 10th edition of the VivaTech conference at the Porte de Versailles. This year's event set a remarkable record, surpassing 200,000 attendees from a staggering 165 countries, cementing its reputation as Europe's largest tech and innovation festival. With over 15,000 startups exhibiting, the event vividly illustrated the pulse of modern technology and entrepreneurship.

Among the highlights were memorable speeches and discussions led by notable figures such as French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Their presence significantly emphasized the global impact and collaborative spirit fostered at VivaTech.

The event featured more than 4,500 exhibitors, with 61% represented by international companies, showcasing cutting-edge technologies that will shape industries in the years to come. Noteworthy innovations included the smart contact lens by XPANCEO and a thought-controlled humanoid robot developed by Unitree x HABS. Additionally, the groundbreaking 3D-printed resorbable implants from Lattice Medical captured widespread attention, highlighting the intersection of technology and health.

The event also introduced new interactive formats including the Business Plaza and Investors Office Hours, fostering dynamic networking opportunities and activating important business connections among startups, investors, and established enterprises.

Celebrating Leaders in Technology

This year, for the first time, VivaTech recognized outstanding contributions to the tech landscape with the VivaTech x Bloomberg Awards. The accolades honored influential figures, among them Sir Tim Berners-Lee, who received the Visionary Award, Joe Tsai for Leadership, and Yann LeCun for Momentum, underscoring a pioneering spirit that drives innovation worldwide.

As a precursor to the main event, VivaTech took the celebrations to the iconic Champs-Élysées, where a free outdoor technology showcase offered the public a glimpse into the future of tech. This initiative aimed to engage a broader audience and spread excitement about innovations that could redefine daily life. The grand finale on June 20 featured an appearance by astronaut Thomas Pesquet, which further sparked interest and enthusiasm.

Moving Forward: A New Era of Innovation

VivaTech's organizers, including Maurice Lévy, Michèle Benbunan, and François Bitouzet, expressed their vision for the upcoming decade, stating that this anniversary was not just a reflection on the past but a launchpad for future innovation and collaboration. "This 10th edition was not merely a celebration of the nine previous years, but the inception of a new era filled with promise," they noted, setting a tone of anticipation for the next decade.

Mark your calendars for the next round of innovation at VivaTech 2027, scheduled for June 16 to 19, 2027, continuing its legacy of being the leading platform for startups, investors, and tech enthusiasts.
