A new large-scale market event, Yomi no Ichi, aims to shine a light on the joys of reading and writing. Scheduled for February 21-23, 2026, at Meiji Park in Tokyo, it will feature the participation of 35 unique bookstores from across Japan, showcasing a rich diversity of literary offerings.

The organizing committee, which includes prominent corporations like Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd., Mitsui & Co., Nippon Koei Co., Ltd., Seibu Zoological Gardens Co., Ltd., Yomiuri Advertising Co., and NTV Axon, has announced that this grand celebration will launch its crowdfunding campaign on January 9, 2026. This initiative aims to support participating bookstores while fostering a reading culture for the future.

A New Concept: Dokusho-yoku (Reading Bath)

The organizers have introduced the innovative concept of
