Starting from April 2026, the city plans to enhance its revenue streams and improve the visibility of its parks by offering naming rights for two specific park facilities.

Available Facilities

The sponsorship will cover the following facilities:
1. Sun Machida Asahi Gymnasium and Machida Municipal Baseball Stadium (located within Machida Central Park)
2. Onoji Baseball Field and Onoji Ground (located in Onoji Park)

Each contract will cover two facilities as outlined above, presenting a singular opportunity for businesses looking to establish a strong community footprint.

Duration and Costs

Businesses interested in this sponsorship can expect:

- Naming period: At least three years
- Sponsorship Fee:

- For the Sun Machida Asahi Gymnasium and Machida Municipal Baseball Stadium: At least 3 million yen annually (before tax)
- For the Onoji Baseball Field and Onoji Ground: At least 3.5 million yen annually (before tax)

These costs demonstrate the potential investment needed to align a brand with the active lifestyle promoted by these community facilities.

Application Process

Interested companies must submit a complete set of application documents either in person or by mail. The necessary application forms and guidelines will be available for download on Machida City’s official website starting August 1. The application period will run from August 25 to September 5, and all applications must be received by 5 pm on the final day.

Companies can submit inquiries from August 1 to August 8, 5 pm. This window allows potential sponsors to ensure they have all required information before applying.

Selection Procedure

The Machida City government will establish an official Naming Rights Advertising Review Committee, which will review all applications. This committee will select the potential sponsoring companies after careful consideration of the submitted materials.

Contract Finalization

The contracts will be finalized and publicly announced between October and November of 2025, marking the official beginning of this exciting partnership.
