U.S. Gold Corp. Integrates Advanced Flotation Technology
U.S. Gold Corp. is excited to share that it has selected Glencore Technology's Jameson Cell flotation equipment to significantly improve gold and copper recovery at its CK Gold Project. This groundbreaking decision was made following a series of engineering, optimization, and trade-off studies as part of the recent Definitive Feasibility Study and Execution Plan.
CEO Insights
George Bee, the President and CEO of U.S. Gold Corp., expressed enthusiasm about the adoption of this advanced technology. He noted, "We are thrilled to implement Glencore Technology's Jameson Cell flotation equipment at our CK Gold Project. After conducting thorough trade-off studies and testing, we found that this technology presents fantastic advantages over traditional flotation cells. This includes enhanced metal recovery, lower power consumption, and a reduced need for equipment and warehousing. This strategic move not only bolsters the already strong economics of our project but also positions us for greater success in domestic strategic metal production. We appreciate the invaluable support and performance guarantee from Glencore Technology and are eager to continue optimizing our project with their expertise."
Background of the Collaboration
In late 2024, Glencore Technology approached U.S. Gold Corp. to introduce their cutting-edge Jameson Cell flotation technology. Established since 1986, the Jameson cells have been recognized for their performance. To validate the potential benefits of Glencore's proposal, U.S. Gold conducted further testing on the ore from the CK Gold Project. The results confirmed noteworthy gains in both gold and copper recovery, surpassing the findings reported in the February 2025 Prefeasibility Study.
A comprehensive trade-off study from Halyard Micon International estimated that the inclusion of Jameson Cells could enhance the project's Net Present Value (NPV) by around $36 million over the mine's operational lifespan compared to standard tank flotation technology. Furthermore, the analysis indicated lower operational costs, requirements for smaller equipment and storage spaces, and reduced energy consumption.
Ongoing Support from Glencore Technology
Glencore Technology has also supplied a limited performance guarantee and continues to assist with engineering and cost parameters for the proposed equipment. U.S. Gold has successfully obtained a letter from Glencore Technology which ensures that pricing for any unused Jameson Cells, which were initially procured for a different project that was later cancelled, will remain unchanged until October 2025. This proves to be a significant advantage for future planning.
