Experience a New Era of Learning at the K-SHIP Festival
This summer, Kawai Juku is hosting the innovative “Future Exploration Day” festival on August 23rd, designed specifically for Japanese middle school and high school students. The festival will leverage the metaverse to create an engaging platform where students can explore their interests and future career paths in a dynamic and interactive environment. This unique event features renowned experts in fields like dinosaur research and space development, providing students with a wealth of knowledge and inspiration.
A Festival Tailored for Curious Minds
Understanding the changing landscape of university admissions in Japan, where approximately half of the students are accepted through comprehensive and recommendations-based selections, Kawai Juku aims to offer a program that helps students discover and nurture their interests early on. The K-SHIP program is crafted to encourage students to think about their future while enjoying the process of learning. The freedom of movement in the virtual space allows them to engage with different content, such as lectures and workshops, facilitating a fulfilling exploration of their latent passions.
Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy unique experiences that transcend conventional classroom learning. The festival features special lectures by leading figures such as Professor Soichiro Kawai from Fukui Prefectural University, who specializes in dinosaur studies, and Takayoshi Tanaka, CEO of Amulapo, who emphasizes the education of future astronauts through virtual space experiences.
In addition to inspiring talks, the event also includes a career consultation booth run by Masaru Yokoyama from Agos Japan, providing insights into studying abroad and various educational pathways. Attendees can access helpful videos on subjects like mathematics, information technology, and writing, along with interactive puzzles and games designed to make learning enjoyable.
Expanding Horizons and Networking
This event not only enables students to have fun but also serves as a platform for brainstorming themes for the Comprehensive Learning period starting in the second semester. It is a chance for young scholars to gain insights that they can utilize in their upcoming academic pursuits. As we approach the end of summer, attendees can gather inspiration for their new semester strategies in a comfortable setting where they can connect with peers and industry experts alike.
