The 11th Improving Lives Benefit: A Light of Hope for the MS Community
The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) is set to host the 11th Improving Lives Benefit, a gathering aimed at uniting individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on May 14, 2025. This year's event will be held at the esteemed Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, PA, starting at 6:15 PM ET. The MSAA is thrilled to create a platform for connection and support within the MS community.
In an effort to broaden the accessibility of this event, the Improving Lives Benefit will be livestreamed, allowing participation from individuals across the country who may not be able to attend in person. This initiative highlights MSAA’s commitment to inclusivity and support for those suffering from this challenging disease.
Attendee expectations include an inspiring atmosphere where participants can network, share stories, and build connections with fellow community members who understand the unique challenges posed by MS. The event will also feature a silent auction and mission-based auctions, with all proceeds directed towards supporting MSAA’s free programs and services for MS patients and their families.
Honoring Exceptional Individuals
The event will be hosted by motivational speaker Tyler Campbell, a well-respected advocate in the MS community and the son of Hall of Fame football player Earl Campbell. Tyler’s inspirational messages resonate deeply with individuals impacted by MS, making him an invaluable asset to this gathering.
MSAA is proud to acknowledge Dr. Barry A. Singer as this year’s Mission Honoree. Dr. Singer, founder and director of The MS Center for Innovations in Care, has made significant contributions to the MS community. His dedication to improving therapies and support for individuals with MS has been a cornerstone of his work, making him a revered figure in this sphere.
Additionally, the corporate honoree for this year will be Cionic, a pioneering medical technology company that is making waves with its innovative approach to bionic clothing designed to enhance mobility and strength for those with disabilities. Recognizing cutting-edge contributions like those from Cionic underscores the event’s goal of fostering advancements and supportive technologies for people living with MS.
Gina Ross Murdoch, MSAA’s President and CEO, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "We are excited to recognize two special honorees at this year's Improving Lives Benefit. Their contributions have made a remarkable difference in the lives of many within the MS community."
Support from Key Partners
MSAA is also grateful for the support of its 2025 Presenting Sponsor, Novartis, whose commitment to advancing care access plays a vital role in sustaining the mission of the MSAA and their dedication to providing necessary resources to individuals affected by MS.

Understanding Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a complex condition affecting the central nervous system, leading to communication breakdowns between the brain and other parts of the body. Symptoms can vary widely, ranging from visual disturbances and fatigue to coordination issues and cognitive challenges. The disease affects nearly one million individuals across the United States, primarily between the ages of 20 and 50, making awareness and support crucial for those diagnosed.
As the MS community continues to evolve, events such as the Improving Lives Benefit play an essential role in promoting understanding, encouragement, and vital resources for living well with MS. Join us for an evening that promises inspiration, connection, and progress on May 14, 2025, at the Barnes Foundation.
