Canon's Upcoming Seminar on the Future of the Printing Industry



On October 2, 2025, Canon Marketing Japan and Canon Production Printing Systems will host a seminar entitled "Challenges Facing the Printing Industry - Real Strategies for Survival" at Canon's headquarters in Tokyo. This event marks a year since the "After drupa Seminar" held in August 2024, which focused on the challenges and future direction of Japan's printing industry.

Event Overview


The seminar will consist of two segments. In the first part, representatives from Canon Production Printing Systems will present their future product strategies and share successful case studies of digital printing implementations from abroad. The second part of the seminar will involve a discussion featuring two prominent speakers: Yukinori Okamoto, CEO of GooF Co., and Yasuo Miyamoto, Vice President of Value Machine International. This discussion will delve into the complexities facing the printing business and the transformative role digital printing technologies will play in shaping the industry's future in Japan.

Attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Canon Production System Center showroom after the seminar. This exhibit will showcase Canon’s upcoming products, including the B3-size color inkjet digital press "varioPRINT iX1700" and the B2+ size inkjet digital press "varioPRESS iV7", as well as the high-performance "varioPRINT iX3200".
