An Unconventional Nap Experience Awaits at Roof Park Fes with Brain Sleep's Giant Sleep Area

An Unforgettable Nap Experience at Roof Park Fes

On April 19, 2025, Tokyo's KK Line highway transformed into a pedestrian paradise, hosting the exciting event "Roof Park Fes & Walk." Spearheaded by Brain Sleep, a company based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, this event showcased their commitment to improving sleep quality through a unique initiative entitled "OHIRUNE PARK."

Discovering OHIRUNE PARK

"OHIRUNE PARK" offered attendees a chance to relax and nap on a grand scale, introducing three distinct zones: the Bedding Try-Out Area, Nap Zone, and Textured Mat Area. Over 7,000 visitors explored Brain Sleep's innovative products, including their signature Pillow and Mattress series. Many expressed wonder at the experience of napping amidst the hustle and bustle of a highway, as comments like, "It’s amazing to nap here!" and "Sleeping under the blue sky with a gentle breeze is incredibly refreshing!" flooded in.

The Motivation Behind the Event

Since its inception, Brain Sleep has aimed to enhance the quality of sleep for the Japanese population, who notoriously suffer from shorter sleeping hours. Their research indicates an average sleep duration of 6 hours and 50 minutes, still significantly below the OECD average of 8 hours and 28 minutes. By emphasizing the importance of sleep quality, Brain Sleep hopes to educate the public on achieving restorative rest, thus improving daily performance.

Moreover, the event aligned with Brain Sleep's broader goals of sustainability and circular design through their Eco-Cycle Program, which reprocesses materials from used products. This initiative resonates with the overarching ambition of the Roof Park Project — to repurpose the former automobile-centric KK Line into a pedestrian-friendly space.

The Three Zones of OHIRUNE PARK

1. Bedding Try-Out Area: Visitors had the chance to experience a variety of Brain Sleep’s products first-hand, highlighting the manufacturing process of their pillows and the Eco-Cycle initiative. Participants showed a keen interest in the recycling aspect of the event, intrigued by the lifecycle of the products.

2. Nap Zone: Featuring a colossal 14-meter mat, this area invited attendees to unwind and nap using borrowed Brain Sleep pillows. Guests were amazed at the mat's breathability and comfort, with many noting the enjoyable experience of resting during their highway walk.

3. Textured Mat Area: Here, visitors encountered mats with varying firmness levels, stimulating curiosity as they felt the differences in texture. This zone quickly became a hit, especially among children, who were drawn to its playful variations.
