Northwest Bank Unveils Plans for New Corporate Headquarters in Dublin, Ohio to Fuel Growth

Northwest Bank's New Headquarters in Dublin

Northwest Bank has announced exciting plans for a brand new corporate headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, aiming to enhance its operations and growth potential in Central Ohio. As a full-service financial institution, Northwest Bank offers robust business and personal banking solutions. The new headquarters will occupy a substantial 75,000 square feet in the upcoming Bridge North development, a thriving mixed-use area designed by the Daimler Group.

Located in the Bridge Street District, this new facility represents Northwest Bank's commitment to evolving alongside the community it serves. The mixed-use development will not only house offices but also will feature hospitality, retail, and public gathering spaces — creating a vibrant campus-style atmosphere that promotes interaction among employees, clients, and local partners.

Scheduled for completion in the first half of 2029, the bank's transition from its current location in Easton to the new site is designed to accommodate growth. The purpose-built structure is expected to double the workforce at the headquarters to 300 employees by 2034. Importantly, it will include a dedicated financial center on the ground floor, providing a suite of wealth management advisory services.

President and CEO of Northwest Bank, Louis J. Torchio, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture, stating, "We are excited to become part of the Dublin community. This investment represents an important step in Northwest Bank's continued growth and transformation... Dublin's collaborative approach to supporting businesses makes it the ideal location for Northwest Bank's future headquarters. This move supports our long-term growth strategy and strengthens our ability to attract top talent."

To aid in this ambitious project, the City of Dublin has entered into an Economic Development Agreement (EDA) with Northwest Bank, which provides a performance-based incentive equating to 15% of net new employee payroll withholdings accumulated from 2030 to 2034. This financial incentive is capped at $460,000 for the five-year term, demonstrating the city’s commitment to fostering business growth. Furthermore, a $50,000 location grant will be granted once the bank signs its 15-year lease and secures the necessary occupancy permits.

Dublin's City Manager, Megan O'Callaghan, shared her thoughts on the partnership: "Welcoming Northwest Bank to Dublin is an exciting milestone for our community and for the evolution of the Bridge Street District. This investment reflects the growth we've worked to foster by collaborating with developers and investing in infrastructure, creating spaces conducive to business prosperity."

The project also emphasizes the collaborative spirit of the area, with Paul Ghidotti, president of the Daimler Group, highlighting that finding suitable commercial real estate is key for businesses seeking to expand. His remarks underscored the collaborative nature of the partnership between Northwest Bank, Daimler Group, and the City of Dublin.

Additionally, Northwest Bank is engaging with local architectural firm Moody Nolan to design the new headquarters. JLL, Inc. is also on board for their commercial real estate brokerage and project management expertise.

Founded in 1896 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, Northwest Bank has been a guiding force in helping customers and communities realize their financial goals. Relocating to Columbus in 2021 enhanced their growth strategy and provided access to one of the Midwest’s strongest talent markets.

The new headquarters will signify another step in Northwest Bank's commitment to expanding its footprint in Central Ohio. Earlier this year, they unveiled their first financial center in New Albany, and the bank has plans to open additional locations around Columbus by the second quarter of 2027. As they continue to grow, their investment in the new Dublin headquarters is poised to play a critical role in their strategic plans for the coming years.

As the bank prepares for this significant shift, all eyes will be on how their innovative approach to business and community integration unfolds in Dublin. With a focus on collaboration, growth, and community development, Northwest Bank is ready to chart a new course in Ohio’s financial landscape.
