Explore Japan's Traditional Culture at Ginza Grand Hotel
The Ginza Grand Hotel, operated by GranVista Hotel & Resort, invites guests to a unique workshop titled "Japanese Traditional Culture Experience" every Friday and Saturday in August 2025. The event, taking place from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, provides an immersive opportunity to engage with Japan’s rich traditions and art forms.
The workshops will be held in the cozy atmosphere of the 2nd-floor lounge, "On the Street Corner". Starting August 1st, participants can enjoy activities such as painting traditional fox masks, creating wind chimes, and designing fans or uchiwa (Japanese hand fans). Each activity is designed to last between 30 to 60 minutes and allows for a hands-on, creative experience. Additionally, the wind chimes come in a special design that can also function as lanterns during the off-season, adding a quirky flair to the traditional elements.
In honoring community values rooted in tradition, the Ginza Grand Hotel aims to foster a deeper understanding of Japanese culture among both local citizens and international visitors. Alongside the hands-on workshops, exclusive original Goshuincho (a traditional stamp book) will also be available for purchase. This item is cherished by many as a keepsake from visits to temples and shrines, with a price of 6,600 yen (tax included).
Furthermore, there is a special membership pricing for those enrolled in the GranVista Membership Program, offering a 500 yen discount, bringing the workshop experience to just 5,000 yen per person.
