The recently concluded Los Angeles Career Forum 2025 was a vibrant event that took place on April 19-20 at the renowned Los Angeles Convention Center. This unique event, the only one of its kind on the West Coast, was tailored specifically for bilingual candidates fluent in both Japanese and English. This year, the forum attracted an impressive gathering of 42 companies from a diverse range of industries and welcomed over 630 job seekers eager to explore career opportunities.
Aderans Co., Ltd., a global leader in hair, beauty, health, and wellness, participated for the second consecutive year, showcasing their commitment to fostering a diverse workforce with a booth at the event. Led by President Yozo Suzuki, Aderans aimed to strengthen its global operations and connect with potential talent who can serve as a bridge between Japan and the United States. Their participation also aimed to increase their visibility in the U.S. market.
This year, following feedback from last year's participants, Aderans introduced new recruitment opportunities from their headquarters in Japan, in addition to positions available at four subsidiary companies in the U.S. The booth displayed products from their U.S. subsidiary, including wigs, and hosted four company presentations over the two days. These sessions provided attendees insights into the operations of Aderans' Japanese and U.S. group companies and highlighted the current job openings available to prospective candidates.
Promotional efforts prior to the event successfully caught the attention of job seekers, leading to a surge in applications even a month ahead of the event. During the forum itself, Aderans reported a record number of visitors to their booth, exceeding expectations, and necessitating standing room only due to high demand. Participants expressed their interest in the company's international operations and product offerings, reinforcing the need for effective communication and marketing in the U.S.
The Aderans booth was notably presided over by Director Nobutaka Hattori, who facilitated discoverable insights about the company and its global mission. Aderans employs approximately 6,000 individuals across 17 countries and regions, highlighting their stature as a global employer.
In Japan, Aderans is well-known for its bespoke wigs under the 'Aderans' brand, while the 'Fontaine' brand offers made-to-order wigs. In North America, they operate major brands such as 'BOSLEY' for hair transplants and 'HAIRCLUB,' specializing in hair systems for both men and women. Aderans has actively expanded its international footprint, now boasting 236 stores worldwide, with international operations contributing to more than half of its consolidated sales.
With this event, Aderans continues to uphold its commitment to providing comprehensive hair solutions as a leading entity in the hair care industry. Their focus transcends racial, gender, and age boundaries, ensuring that all customers can find satisfaction and quality in their services and products.
The Los Angeles Career Forum remains an essential platform for organizations like Aderans to engage with a diverse range of talent and promote their global initiatives, reaffirming the dynamic opportunities available for bilingual professionals in today's job market.
