Infomart and Okinawa Prefecture Collaborate for Industry DX Acceleration

Infomart and Okinawa Prefecture: Pioneering Digital Transformation

In a significant step towards enhancing the digital landscape of Okinawa, Infomart Co., Ltd. has entered into a collaboration agreement with Okinawa Prefecture. This agreement aims at accelerating the digital transformation (DX) of various industries within the region, aligning with the Okinawa “New 21st Century Vision Basic Plan.”

Background of the Agreement

On November 10, a presentation ceremony marked this partnership between Infomart and the Okinawa government led by Governor Denni Tamaki. The collaboration is targeted at implementing strategies that resonate with the region’s vision of achieving sustainable development across social, economic, and environmental dimensions.

Okinawa is committed to strengthening its economic capabilities through the promotion of a program recognized as “ResorTech Okinawa.” This initiative promotes DX across diverse sectors, including tourism, agriculture, construction, and manufacturing. The island aims to enhance labor productivity and economic strength, effectively positioning itself in the digital arena.

To facilitate this digital evolution, the ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa, one of the largest IT and DX exhibitions, has been running since 2020. The upcoming event on November 13-14 serves as a launchpad for facilitating powerful synergies between local businesses and global IT firms. This unique blend of technology and tourism not only showcases Okinawa’s potential but also engages in fostering innovative business opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region.

Infomart’s Role

With over 20 years of experience in driving digitalization in intercompany transactions in Okinawa, Infomart launched a local branch last April to strengthen its on-ground support. Operating under the slogan “DX Before Okinawa,” the company has seen a surge in the adoption of its BtoB platform, with around 14,000 businesses in the region currently utilizing its services.

Infomart’s commitment to accelerating industry DX will be further enhanced through this collaboration. The company plans to expand its contributions through initiatives such as ResorTech EXPO, together with various seminars and events explicitly aimed at empowering local enterprises.
