Subaru of America Celebrates Another Successful Month with Over 60,000 Vehicles Sold in August 2025

Subaru of America Continues Strong Sales Performance

Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) announced remarkable vehicle sales figures for August 2025, marking a significant achievement for the automaker. In total, the company sold 61,220 vehicles, a 2.9% decline compared to 63,053 units sold in August 2024. This reduction is notable yet still represents a strong performance as it indicates the second consecutive August where Subaru surpassed the 60,000 vehicle threshold in sales, totaling 437,030 year-to-date sales.

The standout performer for Subaru this month was the Crosstrek, which not only became the best-selling model once more, but also set a new personal record by achieving 20,442 units sold. This impressive feat surpassed its previous August record of 20,396 vehicles sold in 2024. The Crosstrek maintained its position as the top-selling Subaru model for the fourth consecutive month, showcasing its continuing popularity among consumers.

Following the Crosstrek, the Outback also demonstrated solid sales with 15,768 vehicles sold, although this represents a 4.1% decrease from last year. The Forester, however, reported a 5.7% year-on-year increase with 14,225 units sold, emphasizing the brand’s diversity in appealing models. Notably, both the Solterra and Legacy models experienced growth in sales compared to the previous year, with Solterra marking its best sales month ever in August.

Jeff Walters, SOA's President and COO, shared insights on what drives Subaru's success in the marketplace. He emphasized the commitment to offering vehicles that not only last but also feature thoughtful design and key safety measures that modern drivers look for. "Our retailers continued to show the value of what makes Subaru unique – vehicles that are built to last, thoughtfully designed inside and out, and include the active safety features that drivers are looking for," Walters explained.

In addition to vehicle production and sales, Subaru continues to uphold its dedication to community involvement through initiatives such as Subaru Loves Learning®. This program aims at enhancing educational environments nationwide, reflecting Subaru's commitment to making a difference in the communities they serve.

According to Troy Poston, Senior Vice President of Sales at SOA, the combination of durability, lasting value, and user-friendly interior design significantly contribute to the vehicles’ strong market presence. As Subaru continues to expand its model offerings, the company is dedicated to meeting customer expectations to foster ongoing trust and loyalty among its consumers.
