Exciting Inclusive Comedy Show 'Bakuwara' to Take Place This Summer
COCOLON, a community organization dedicated to families of children with severe disabilities, is thrilled to announce its upcoming comedy event,
'Bakuwara', scheduled for
August 31, 2025. The event, held at
COCOLON BASE in Edogawa, Tokyo, aims to create a joyful and inclusive atmosphere whereby children with severe disabilities and their families can enjoy live comedy performances in a comfortable setting. Families can look forward to a memorable experience as the summer vacation draws to a close!
A Community-Focused Event
The 'Bakuwara' comedy show is designed to be inclusive, welcoming not just families with disabled children but also local community members and supporters. It promises a unique opportunity to connect with others while enjoying laughter and entertainment close to home. COCOLON acknowledges the challenges many face in accessing traditional entertainment venues, which often lack adequate facilities for those requiring medical care or wheelchair access. This event solves those issues by providing a space where families can relax and enjoy performances just a few steps away.
COCOLON, operated by the non-profit organization
EPO, has been a beacon of support for families since its inception in
2016. They run several facilities focused on childcare support for children with disabilities throughout Tokyo. COCOLON BASE has been specially equipped to accommodate the needs of children requiring medical care, ensuring that there are ample arrangements for essential services such as diaper changing and medical device charging. Families can participate without worry and enjoy a day dedicated to fun and laughter.
