Tiltify Launches Creator Impact Honors to Recognize Philanthropic Efforts by Creators Globally
Tiltify Launches Creator Impact Honors
Tiltify, a leader in creator-driven fundraising, has unveiled the Creator Impact Honors, a groundbreaking annual initiative that celebrates creators who make a meaningful difference through charitable efforts. Established to recognize outstanding contributions regardless of audience size, this program aims to highlight the true impact of creators on the causes they champion.
The Creator Impact Honors stands apart from traditional award programs by focusing on genuine contributions rather than popularity metrics. An independent jury composed of notable figures from philanthropy, journalism, and the creator economy will determine the 2026 honorees. Members of this esteemed jury include prominent individuals such as Glenn Gamboa, Philanthropy News Editor at The Associated Press, and MatPat, the creator behind successful fundraising campaigns that have raised nearly $7 million for charity. Their diverse backgrounds ensure a comprehensive evaluation of how creators positively influence their communities.
Nominations for the honors opened on September 9, 2026, and will remain available until September 24, 2026. Anyone can submit a nomination for a creator, campaign, or community from any platform, including their own initiatives. This inclusivity reinforces Tiltify's belief that all creators, regardless of their fundraising platform, have valuable contributions worth recognizing.
Michael Wasserman, co-founder and CEO of Tiltify, emphasized the importance of recognizing the impactful work of creators who often feel their efforts may go unnoticed. He stated, “The average creator campaign on Tiltify raises $1,300...That’s about 30 new donors a charity didn’t have yesterday.” This sentiment reflects a broader understanding of the significance behind each donation and the outreach potential of creators who advocate for various causes.
The program features 20 competitive honors across six different impact categories, culminating in the prestigious title of Impact Creator of the Year. Other categories include the Storytelling for Impact Award, Small-But-Mighty Fundraiser Award, Livestream Impact Award, Collaborative Campaign of the Year, and the Behind-the-Scenes Impact Award, which honors those who contribute silently yet effectively to a campaign’s success.
A crucial aspect of this initiative is its emphasis on accountability. Eligible campaigns must be associated with a legitimate charitable organization or cause, ensuring transparency and ethical standards in fundraising efforts. The jury will evaluate both data and subjective judgment to select the honorees, reinforcing the importance of measurable impact alongside narrative storytelling.
Art Taylor, a jury member with years of experience in charity accountability, remarked on the evolution of philanthropy in the digital age. He stated, “Creators have become a front door to giving for millions of people... they deserve the same rigor we bring to any serious charitable effort.” This acknowledgment underscores the shifting landscape of fundraising, wherein direct interactions through social media and streaming platforms have redefined donor engagement.
The program is expected to generate substantial interest from creators of all backgrounds. The finalists will be chosen based on a combination of nominations, jury evaluation, and public votes for two specific categories, allowing for audience engagement in recognizing impactful creators.
Wasserman's pioneering vision for the Honors aligns with Tiltify's overall mission to harness the power of creators in transformative ways. He believes that through this initiative, the foundation is being laid for a more inclusive and impactful charitable landscape—one that fully recognizes the contributions of every individual creator.
As the nomination period progresses, creators are urged to submit their entries and share their stories. The Creator Impact Class of 2026 will be announced on October 27, 2026, celebrating the powerful intersection of creativity and philanthropy.
