Yamamura Glass Takes the Lead as Gold Sponsor
Yamamura Glass Co., Ltd., headquartered in Hyogo Prefecture and led by President Noboru Yamamura, is excited to announce its participation as a gold sponsor in the Waste Reduction Business Idea Contest. Organized by the Non-Profit Organization Gomi Project, the contest aims to cultivate social entrepreneurs who contribute to decreasing waste.
The contest was initiated by Hideichi Takizawa, the representative director of Gomi Project, who also performs as part of the comedic duo Machinnguns. Takizawa's vision is to support aspiring social entrepreneurs in taking their first significant steps towards addressing societal challenges through innovative business ideas.
Commitment to Environmental Sustainability
Since its founding, Yamamura Glass has been dedicated to contributing to the realization of a circular economy. Our commitment to environmental initiatives is evident through our innovative use of rice husks as raw materials for glass bottle production, showcasing our dedication to sustainable practices. In addition to our production activities, our factories engage in ongoing cleanup operations, picking up litter in surrounding communities to foster a cleaner environment.
Since 2021, we have utilized the waste-picking social media platform 'Pirika' to publicly share our cleaning activities, collaborating with local residents to enhance our communities and promote “clean town development.” Visit our
Pirika account to see our contributions in action.
