The Brattle Group Welcomes Idan Rubin as Senior Consultant

The Brattle Group, a leading consultancy known for addressing complex economic, financial, and regulatory issues globally, has announced the appointment of Idan Rubin as a Senior Consultant at its London office. This strategic move comes as part of Brattle’s ongoing effort to enhance its capabilities in sectors such as Bankruptcy, Restructuring, Alternative Investments, and Credit Products.

A Wealth of Experience in Financial Services

Idan Rubin is no stranger to the financial landscape, boasting over 15 years of diverse experience in the fields of hedge funds, asset management, and investment platform development. His extensive background allows him to tackle a broad spectrum of challenges that clients often face, from mergers and acquisitions to intricate fund-related disputes that encompass performance fees, investor communications, and regulatory compliance issues.

His expertise is underpinned by a strong foundation in valuation techniques, hedge fund structuring, portfolio construction, risk management, and investor relations. Rubin is also well-versed in developing trading strategies, signals, and working with cross-asset classes, including cryptocurrency and NFTs (non-fungible tokens), making him an invaluable addition to Brattle's team.

Torben Voetmann, President and CEO of Brattle, expressed great enthusiasm about Rubin's arrival, stating, "With his extensive industry experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and analytical rigor, Idan brings a unique skill set to Brattle that will significantly enhance our ability to support clients in high-stakes financial disputes across the UK and Europe."

Track Record of Success

Before joining The Brattle Group, Idan was a Senior Equity Analyst at an investment consulting firm focusing on emerging market equities. His career path also included serving as a portfolio manager at a European-focused hedge fund, where he honed his skills in managing market strategies and operations effectively. Notably, in 2017, he co-founded Sayer Capital, a quantitative U.S. equities market-making fund backed by a prominent investor. He led various aspects of the organization, including research and development, investor relations, budgeting, and portfolio construction, until 2021.

Rubin is eager to collaborate with his colleagues not just in London, but throughout the broader Brattle network, to further establish the firm’s presence in the commercial litigation landscape of the UK and Europe. He aims to assist clients in resolving complex issues related to damages, insolvency, mergers and acquisitions, and fund-related litigations. "I’m excited to work with my colleagues across the London and European offices to help grow Brattle’s capabilities in commercial litigation and support clients in navigating complex financial disputes," he remarked.
