Previously, Professor Dastbaz served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Suffolk, where he was pivotal in driving educational innovation and digital learning. His extensive experience in managing higher education institutions positions him as a strong leader capable of guiding MLA College as it seeks to broaden its horizons and enhance its academic offerings.

A Track Record of Innovation



Professor Dastbaz is renowned for his academic focus on computer science, holding a doctorate that concentrates on the design, evolution, and assessment of multimedia systems. As a member of the Chartered Institute for IT (The British Computer Society), he has demonstrated a profound commitment to integrating technology into academia. Notably, his previous roles include Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Information Technology, and Engineering at the University of East London, and Dean and Pro Vice-Chancellor at Leeds Beckett University.
