Celebrating Transformer's Legacy

The beloved animated classic, Transformers: The Movie, reaches a significant milestone this year as it turns 40. To commemorate this iconic film, Hobby Search has announced the launch of a special series of articulated figures by threezero, bringing fans the chance to own beautifully crafted representations of their favorite characters in their original cinematic colors.

Unveiling the MDLX Series

The new MDLX line, featuring figures of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron, is a testament to the enduring legacy of the Transformers franchise. Designed under the art direction of Kelvin Sow, these figures not only pay homage to the original 1980s animated series but also incorporate modern design tweaks that enhance their visual appeal.

Each figure in this limited edition series is meticulously designed to reflect the character's appearance in the film, making them a fantastic addition to any collector's showcase.

Optimus Prime MDLX

Measuring approximately 17.8 cm tall, the Optimus Prime MDLX figure boasts full articulation and leverages a robust frame system made from die-cast zinc alloy and engineering plastics, ensuring durability and flexibility with around 48 movable joints. This figure distinguishes itself from the standard version, showcasing a newly sculpted head and a repainted backpack that stays true to the film's aesthetic.

Included accessories are impressive: an Ion Blaster, Energon Axe, the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, and six pairs of interchangeable hands, allowing for diverse display options. The figure is priced at ¥21,450 (tax included) and is set for release in December 2026.
