Goofy Cafe & Diner Makes Its Osaka Debut

Hawaii's popular cafe and diner, Goofy, is proud to announce its first ever store opening in Osaka, scheduled for July 1st, 2026, at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store. This event will be part of the highly anticipated Hawaii Fair 2026, which runs until July 6th.

Since its establishment in 2013, Goofy has been a favorite among both locals and tourists in Waikiki, Hawaii. The casual eatery recently expanded by opening a second location in May 2023, right in front of Waikiki Beach. Goofy’s arrival in Japan commenced this March with its first location, goofy coffee+diner, at Yokohama Bay Quarter, and now it aims to bring the authentic Hawaii experience to Osaka.

Signature Menu: The Irresistible Malasada

The star of the Osaka event will be Goofy’s renowned Malasada, a traditional Hawaiian sweet treat that has captured the hearts of patrons at the Yokohama location. This fluffy donut-like pastry is particularly special as it has been tailored specifically for the Japanese audience, making it an exclusive offering unavailable anywhere else.

In Yokohama, the Malasada has become a sensation, often selling out within an hour of being offered. During the fair, visitors can enjoy freshly made Malasadas, prepared right in front of them at the venue. Customers can indulge in four delightful flavors:

• - Plain Sugar - ¥297 (tax included): A classic version, focusing on the natural sweetness and chewy texture.
• - Cinnamon Sugar - ¥297 (tax included): Infused with spicy cinnamon, this variant captures the essence of Hawaiian breeziness.
• - Custard - ¥378 (tax included): A rich custard filled sweet treat that serves as a decadent reward.
• - Chocolate Cream - ¥378 (tax included): A refined dessert with subtle sweetness, harmonizing perfectly with the fluffy dough.

Special Giveaway: Goofy Original Sticker

Attendees who purchase the Malasada Box, which includes one of each of the four flavors, will also receive an exclusive Goofy original sticker while supplies last. The sticker is given out randomly, adding an extra element of excitement to the purchase!

Monthly Event Schedule

The Hawaii Fair 2026 will be divided into two parts:

• - Part One: July 1 (Wed) - July 6 (Mon)
• - Part Two: July 8 (Wed) - July 13 (Mon)

Goofy will be present only during the first half of the event.
