High Science® TV Chosen for SeriesFest Season 11

High Science, an innovative docuseries illuminating the cannabis revolution, has been selected as one of only six new series for the prestigious "Unscripted Pilot" competition at SeriesFest Season 11, taking place in Denver from April 29 to May 4, 2025. This recognition underscores High Science's commitment to presenting compelling narratives surrounding cannabis and its impact on society.

SeriesFest is renowned for providing a platform for independent television creators, showcasing exceptional quality content. Notably, past selections have gone on to achieve distribution deals with leading networks such as HBO, Netflix, and Hulu. This accolade places High Science within a distinguished group, acknowledged for excellence in unscripted storytelling.

The series, which premiered on YouTube in November 2024, is the brainchild of Executive Producer Ed Leclere, along with television programming veterans David McKillop and Director Patrick Hackett. High Science effectively captures the vibrant characters driving the modern cannabis movement, providing viewers with an insider's perspective on the industry's evolution.

Ed Leclere expressed his gratitude, stating, "Receiving recognition from SeriesFest is a tremendous honor for our entire team. We aimed to spotlight the real stories of individuals whose lives have been transformed by cannabis, both in terms of industry involvement and personal healing journeys. To be acknowledged alongside other influential storytellers in the realm of unscripted television is both humbling and exhilarating."

David McKillop, known for his success with popular series like Deadliest Catch and Duck Dynasty, emphasized the importance of compelling characters in the cannabis industry: "The cannabis space is packed with engaging personalities and high-stakes stories. With High Science, we focus on telling authentic narratives that resonate with audiences. Being recognized by SeriesFest reaffirms that we are on the right path."

Director Patrick Hackett, who helms the show, added, "Our selection highlights the growing demand for quality content related to cannabis. We are honored to stand alongside other creators who are breaking new ground in this medium."

High Science's unique format features father-and-son hosts, Rich Batenburg Jr. and Richard 'Rick' Batenburg III.
