PropHub Announces Strategic Funding to Enhance Brokerage Composability
PropHub, a leading provider of technology for brokerages, proprietary trading firms, and crypto platforms, recently declared a strategic venture funding round headed by Merchant Seven and an entourage of private investors. This initiative aims to broaden PropHub’s product offerings, enhance its market strategies, and boost international reach.
Gabriel Kassouf, the CEO of PropHub, commented on the industry's trajectory, stating that composability represents the future of trading technology. According to him, the upcoming generation of platform builders will create businesses using top-tier components across both conventional and blockchain markets. PropHub aspires to be the foundation that enables this evolution.
Traditionally, launching a brokerage or trading platform required assembling various components such as front ends, dashboards, and risk management tools from multiple vendors. This resulted in a fragmented system that required continual integration efforts. PropHub seeks to replace this disjointed approach with a comprehensive, modular suite of products and features. Users can initiate their operations using a single toolset or commission a completely bespoke solution, all of which can be accessed through unified REST and WebSocket APIs.
Kassouf, along with co-founders Felipe Vella, CPO, and Rafael Viveiros, CTO, collectively bring over a decade of experience in the trading space, directly shaping the product suite based on ground-level operational knowledge. Kassouf remarked, “Having been on the operator side of the business, we understand the vast resources needed for technology that simply functions.” He believes that brokers and exchanges should not have to rely on multiple vendors for a seamless client experience. With PropHub, the objective is to offer a cohesive composable solution that operators can deploy in days, with the flexibility to evolve their offerings over time.
Through its partnership with Merchant Seven, PropHub will also benefit from access to capital alongside the deployment of senior operators who embed within portfolio companies. This strategy was designed by Merchant Seven given the increasing challenge in the industry to attract top-notch talent in trading technology, particularly for emerging companies that vie with established firms for a competitive edge.
Pierce Crosby, Founder and Managing Partner at Merchant Seven, echoed the sentiments regarding talent acquisition, stating, “It has never been more challenging to secure top-tier expertise in trading technology, and this talent gap hinders innovative startups.” He highlights that the backgrounds of PropHub’s founders, paired with their comprehensive product offerings across various trading sectors, positions them uniquely in the marketplace.
PropHub's ecosystem encompasses three primary verticals, each available as a white-label or custom-tailored solution:
1.
Broker Services: This includes a full brokerage system under the client’s branding, complete with trading platform setup, CRM, back office operations, and risk management.
2.
Prop Trading Firms: An end-to-end operating system designed for proprietary firms, which features capabilities for trader onboarding, KYC procedures, automated payouts, and advanced analytics.
3.
Crypto Solutions: White-label decentralized exchange infrastructure that spans across variations including perpetuals, spot trading, and tokenized assets, designed for ease of use and regulatory compliance through integrated custodial solutions.
During the Harbor program, PropHub intends to broaden its product portfolio across all three verticals, develop a scalable marketing engine, forge distribution partnerships, and explore new markets beyond Latin America.
