LF Decentralized Trust Expands Membership and Services

On June 5, 2025, the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LF Decentralized Trust) made a major announcement regarding the expansion of its membership and services. This leading open-source organization dedicated to decentralized technologies welcomed BrBPO, Gateway.fm, Silence Laboratories, and Valor Capital Group as its latest general members, along with the Global Finance Technology Network (GFTN) joining as an associate member. Notably, Key State Capital, previously a member of Trust Over IP, has also upgraded its status to become a general member of the foundation.

The announcement highlighted the foundations' commitment to driving innovation within the decentralized technology landscape. One key aspect of this expansion involves the introduction of the Besu Certified Service Provider (CSP) program, which simplifies the process for enterprises aiming to implement the Besu blockchain. This program identifies pre-qualified service providers that have demonstrated expertise in deploying and supporting LF Decentralized Trust technologies.

The inaugural CSPs include Consensys and Kaleido, both significant maintainers of the Besu project, as well as Cheesecake Labs, CPQD, DSR Corporation, and Kerala Blockchain Academy (KBA). These organizations possess valuable implementation experience and a strong track record of engaging with the blockchain ecosystem.

Rob Dawson, CTO at Consensys, commented on the significant momentum surrounding Besu's adoption in enterprise settings. He stated, “Since contributing Besu to the open-source community in 2019, we have been dedicated to expanding the ecosystem with robust, enterprise-ready Ethereum infrastructure. The launch of the Besu Certified Service Provider program signifies a decisive move towards fostering positive adoption and gives organizations access to trusted partners capable of implementing Besu in various environments.”

Besides the Besu program, the LF Decentralized Trust also saw the Hyperledger Fabric CSP program grow, with BrBPO, KBA, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) recently being appointed as new Hyperledger Fabric CSPs. These developments showcase LF Decentralized Trust's role in the movement toward decentralized technologies and applications.

LF Decentralized Trust's General Manager, Daniela Barbosa, noted the critical role these new members and developments play in furthering the adoption of decentralized assets. “As digital assets and tokenization become increasingly mainstream, our members and projects are pivotal in advancing the market,” she emphasized. This sentiment was echoed by executives from the newly joined companies, who expressed enthusiasm about their participation in the LF Decentralized Trust ecosystem.

Carlos Eduardo Quilici Gurgulino de Souza, CEO of BrBPO, highlighted the synergy between BrBPO’s operations and the decentralized trust technologies promoted by the foundation. He underscored their commitment to ensuring data security and reliability, essential characteristics for managing sensitive operations. Gateway.fm's CEO, Pradeep Singh, also mentioned the organization’s extensive experience with Ethereum protocols and their goal to foster responsible adoption of decentralized technologies in various sectors.

Another notable addition was Silence Laboratories, with co-founder and CEO Jay Prakash asserting the company’s focus on bringing privacy-preserving computation to decentralized infrastructures, contributing to next-gen breakthroughs in computation technologies.

With the inclusion of these new members and programs, LF Decentralized Trust is well-positioned to enhance its influence within the decentralized technology domain. As platforms like Besu gain ground in sectors demanding reliable and adaptable infrastructure, the community anticipates exciting advancements that will address a wide array of use cases throughout the globe.

The moves and developments articulated in this announcement underline LF Decentralized Trust's goal of establishing a diverse and innovative ecosystem centered around decentralized technologies. The foundation continues to champion open-source best practices, paving the way for new applications in blockchain, ledger, identity management, and beyond. With continued growth and collaboration, LF Decentralized Trust stands as a leader in defining the future of decentralized digital economies.
