Midea Building Technologies Unveils Advanced Smart Solutions at AHR Expo 2026

Midea Building Technologies Showcases Comprehensive Solutions at AHR Expo 2026

Midea Building Technologies took center stage at the AHR Expo 2026, presenting its extensive range of advanced solutions focused on the theme "Smart in One." The exhibition displayed an impressive portfolio of innovative technologies aimed at addressing the evolving demands of key sectors such as data centers, industrial parks, and commercial buildings.

Highlights of Midea's Offerings

One of the standout offerings was the MagBoost Apex Pro, a centrifugal chiller equipped with magnetic bearings. This state-of-the-art HVAC technology marks a significant leap forward, utilizing Midea's second-generation patented magnetic bearing system without the need for oil. The innovative design virtually eliminates mechanical friction, thereby enhancing both efficiency and operational reliability. With a remarkable IPLV performance of up to 9.71 when using refrigerant R1234ze(E), the chiller stands out in performance. Its compressor is designed for durability, boasting an impressive lifespan of up to 30 years and an IP67 rating while operating at a noise level of only 70 dB(A). The modular design allows for the simultaneous operation of up to 16 units without the need for additional controls, and is compatible with both R1234ze(E) and R513A refrigerants, contributing to a reduced environmental footprint.

In response to the growing computing demands driven by AI and high-density server deployments, Midea also introduced solutions for effective thermal management in data centers. These solutions include precision CDU units, high-performance fan walls, and efficient chillers, forming the backbone of highly efficient data centers capable of achieving PUE levels as low as 1.2. Featuring multiple levels of redundancy and leak resistance, these technologies guarantee continuous reliability of cooling systems, supporting innovation without compromise.

Smart Integration at the Core

Another key highlight was Midea iBUILDING, a comprehensive digital platform developed to enable intelligent building management through seamless integration between devices, data, and scenarios. The award-winning smart gateway provides connectivity to various device types—including VRF systems, heat pumps, and chillers—via a single unit that supports multiple communication protocols. With native integration of BACnet and Modbus, the platform ensures straightforward compatibility with existing Building Management Systems (BMS). This advanced platform is equipped with two core applications: iEasyComfort, which provides operational oversight and energy monitoring for end-users, and iEasyCare, which offers predictive maintenance with real-time fault detection and performance analytics for service and maintenance personnel. These applications foster proactive maintenance, energy optimization, and enhanced system reliability.

A Unified Response to Industry Challenges

Midea's presence at the AHR Expo embodies more than just a showcase of products; it represents a holistic response to the industry's pressing challenges. A company spokesperson stated, "Our philosophy of 'Smart in One' is to provide connected solutions that directly tackle key issues surrounding energy demands, operational resilience, and management complexities across various sectors, including data centers, transportation nodes, industrial parks, and commercial buildings." This integrated approach positions Midea not just as a supplier of equipment, but also as a partner in advancing the global construction industry towards a more sustainable and smarter future.
