Northwest Medical Arts Leads Kindness Initiative
Northwest Medical Arts (NWMA), a distinguished medical spa located in University Place, Washington, is proud to announce its participation in
Random Acts of Kindness Week, set to unfold from
February 14-21, 2026. This annual event aims to celebrate the power of kindness within the community, encouraging both residents and local businesses to engage in acts of goodwill, whether big or small.
Celebrating Kindness in University Place
As part of this initiative, the community is invited to share their experiences of kindness—whether they have witnessed, received, or extended gestures of goodwill. Participants can submit their stories for a chance to win $500 in spa services courtesy of NWMA. This call for kindness is not simply about recognition but aims to create a lasting ripple effect of positivity.
The local Mayor,
Stan Flemming, has officially recognized this week as a time to commemorate these generous acts. In his statement, he highlighted how University Place is becoming known as the kindness capital of the state due to its vibrant community and strong business collaborations.
Personal Stories that Inspire Kindness
Shanti Benoit, co-owner of NWMA, shared her own transformative encounter with a random act of kindness from 2019, which became a pivotal moment in her life. Inspired by this experience, Benoit, alongside co-owner
Heather Grods, decided to harness this energy of kindness within their medical spa. As a result, NWMA has become a platform to promote and celebrate kindness, reminding their clients of its incredible impact in everyday life.
Grods echoed this sentiment, stating, “We love using our platform to highlight the good that exists in our community. Collaborating with fellow Pierce County businesses like
Artful Beauty,
Harbornest, and
Hotworx aligns perfectly with our vision of nurturing kindness and civic engagement.”
An Invitation to the Community
To further celebrate the spirit of kindness, NWMA is hosting an
Open House on
April 25 from 2 PM to 5 PM, welcoming both local business owners and residents. This event aims to bring together individuals in the community, fostering connections and sharing stories of kindness.
